Lili Nicholas, Soprano 1
Lily was born and raised in the Greater Seattle area. From a young age, she has always been involved in anything music from playing instruments to singing in small groups and choirs. When she is not singing, she is working with kids in schools. Lily is currently going back to school to be an elementary teacher and hopes to have her own music class one day!
Carrie Niebanck, Soprano 1
Carrie grew up singing show tunes and folk songs with her family, and has been finding ways to sing ever since. Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and raised in Santa Cruz, California she has sung all over this country. As a middle school teacher, she loves to surprise her students by bursting into song. A white water river raft guide and an intrepid traveler, Carrie knows that the power of music is what brings us all together in any language and on any adventure.
Roxanne Laino, Soprano 2
Raised in a music-loving home, Roxanne was shaped by her parents’ eclectic tastes. After moving from Las Vegas to Seattle, she fell in love with jazz and the city’s rich musical culture. When she’s not singing, she enjoys spending time in nature with the cutest little dog in the world, Lil’ Sebastian.
Angela Petrucci, Soprano 2
Angela joined The Offbeats this year with a background of formal training in classical voice at SPU and intensive vocal jazz study under Greta Matassa. When not sharing her vocal talents with The Offbeats, she is an in-demand and versatile jazz vocalist and performer.
Elizabeth “Libby” Graham, Alto 1
Libby has been a singer all her life and grew up in beautiful Bellingham, WA. She was a lead alto 1 in the lauded Rain City Women's Chorus for many years and also has recently done solo engagements. The friendships she has made on her musical journey continue to bless her life which she is forever grateful.
Kris Little, Alto 1
Kris began singing at the tender age of 54, taking a Jazz workshop with Kelley Johnson. She’s been with the Offbeats for three years and is discovering the joy of making music with her fellow singers and musicians. When she isn't singing she’s busy being the mom of a great teenager and working as a mental health professional.
Ashley Arhart, Alto 2
Ashley is a Texas native, longtime Seattleite, and a jazz lover and shower singer since her youth. Taking vocal jazz classes at Seattle’s Jazz Night School was a bucket-list goal—one that led her to The Offbeats, where she’s now in her second year as an alto. She’s also a member of the Offbeats Advisory Committee and the Seattle Glee Clubs (SGC) Board. When not singing, she’s a design professional, wife, and mom of two cool and creative high schoolers.
Carole Niece, Alto 2
Carole is a Seattle native and longtime Offbeats member who refers to the group as her "church" for the many ways music brings friends, family and community together. She's a bad-to-the-bone swingin’ alto who is also active on the Offbeats Advisory Committee as well as the Seattle Glee Clubs (SGC) Board. Carole supports and lives by the SGC mission that "sharing the joy of music has the power to unify."
Lalaine “Lala” Breitenbach, Tenor
WARNING: May spontaneously burst into song. Originally from San Diego, CA, Lalaine has been performing on stage since the age of 11 and STILL performing through the ‘Age of Aquarius!’ As a former pupil of the late great Frank DeMiero, she experienced wonderful opportunities to sing & dance in musicals. Why be moody when you can shake yo’ booty! You can’t download a ‘live’ musical experience. It awakens your senses and fills you with joy. Music connects souls.
Scott Trudeau, Tenor
Scott was born in Seattle and has been singing since day one. From Northwest Boys Choir to high school jazz choir, musical theater and opera - and a one-time appearance with the Vancouver symphony - he’s committed to singing. Scott’s been an "Offbeat" now for three-and-a-half seasons, and when he’s not swinging or spending time with his girl, he’s busy being a daddy to 5 kitties and 2 ferrets.
Richard Hacker, Baritone
An Offbeat for the last ten years, Richard has served on the Seattle Glee Clubs Board and the Offbeats Advisory Committee. When not swinging with the ‘Beats he stays busy as an author, artist, foodie, and outdoor enthusiast. He loves the music so much he named his now 14 year old Springer Spaniel, Jazz. That’s a good girl!
Joel Nichols, Bass
Joel’s lawyer by day and singer and drummer by night! In addition to the Offbeats, he sings in the Sno-King Community Chorale and the St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church choir in the Greenlake neighborhood. Joel’s daughter, Lily, sings with him in two of these groups. Joel’s a first year ‘Beat, but has been in the family a long time! He was Offbeats pianist John Hansen’s college roommate, and they played many a late-night jam session together back in the day.
